A series of tests were carried out using ten different lengths of pipe, two different pipe diameters, and two different pipe materials. This graph shows the results of 130 different valve closing times from the test using a 12.8m 1/2" sch.40 pipe, with a steady state inlet pressure of 13psig:
The other tests showed a similar correlation between the empirically observed results and those predicted by ShockView.
